Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information NC Violinist LLC collects when you use this website or engage NC Violinist LLC for a performance, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It reflects how this business actually operates — nothing more.
Effective July 12, 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by NC Violinist LLC, a solo professional violinist business based in North Carolina serving weddings, corporate functions, and private events across the state. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to NC Violinist LLC, and "you" refers to a visitor, inquirer, or client.
You can reach us by email at studio@ncviolinist.com.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to you, prepare and deliver a booking, and meet our legal and financial obligations. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track your activity across other websites.
Depending on how you interact with us:
- From inquirers. When you submit our inquiry or booking form, we collect the contact details you provide (your name, email address, and phone number) and the event details you share — such as your event date, venue, location, event type, and any notes about what you have in mind.
- From clients. If you move forward with a booking, we keep records related to your event: the quotes and contract prepared for you, and payment records for deposits and balances processed through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number — card details are entered directly with our payment processor.
- From our conversations. We retain the content of the messages we exchange with you — emails and text messages — so we have an accurate record of what was discussed and agreed.
- At electronic signing. When you sign a performance agreement electronically, we record your signature along with the date and time, the IP address, and the browser user-agent used at signing. This creates a reliable, tamper-evident record of your consent.
- From the client portal. If you access your booking through a secure client link, we log the IP address and browser user-agent associated with that session to protect the link and your booking.
- Delivery logs. We keep transactional email delivery logs (for example, whether a quote, contract, or payment request was delivered) so we can confirm you received what we sent.
- Site usage. We collect data about pages visited and how you arrived — including ad-click identifiers when you come from an advertisement. This data is collected first-party and stays on our own systems.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions.
- Prepare quotes and a performance agreement for your event.
- Process deposits and balance payments through our payment provider.
- Deliver the service you booked — coordinating repertoire, timing, and event-day details.
- Keep accurate business records and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Protect the security and integrity of our systems and your booking.
- Understand which of our marketing works so we can invest in what serves clients best.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to serve you advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:
- Sign-in cookies. Two secure, HTTP-only session cookies keep you authenticated when you access the client portal. They are strictly functional and cannot be read by scripts.
- First-party attribution cookie. When you arrive from an advertisement or a tracked link, we set a first-party cookie (bos_attr) that records the ad-click identifier, campaign parameters, and the landing page URL you first visited. This lets us understand which of our own marketing brought you here. The cookie expires in 90 days, is never shared with advertising networks, and is used only by us to measure our marketing.
- First-party analytics. We use our own first-party analytics to understand how visitors use this site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). A random identifier is stored in your browser to count return visits. We do not use third-party trackers, advertising cookies, or fingerprinting, and we never sell or share this data.
There are no third-party advertising networks or cross-site trackers on this site, and your browsing here is not shared with ad platforms.
Service providers we share data with
We keep the circle small. We share information only with the trusted providers that make a booking work, and only to the extent each provider needs to perform its function:
- Stripe — processes deposit and balance payments. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Postmark — delivers our transactional email (inquiry replies, quotes, contracts, and payment requests) and provides the delivery logs described above.
- Twilio — delivers our text messages and forwards our business phone line. Voice calls are forwarded only; we do not record calls.
- Google Ads — when a booking originates from a Google ad, we may report the ad-click identifier and booking value back to Google to measure advertising effectiveness. No name, email address, or other contact details are included in that report.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we never have.
Electronic signature records
When you sign a performance agreement electronically, your electronic signature is legally binding under the North Carolina Uniform Electronic Transactions Act and the federal ESIGN Act. We retain the signed agreement together with the signing metadata (date, time, IP address, and browser user-agent) as the record of your consent and the governing terms of your booking.
Text messages and consent
We send text messages only to clients and inquirers who have shared a mobile number in connection with an event, and only about that event — for example, scheduling and coordination. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for assistance. We do not sell or share your phone number for anyone else's marketing.
Email and your choices
Most of our email is transactional — replies, quotes, contracts, and payment requests tied to your inquiry or booking. Where we send an occasional follow-up sequence, it stops automatically as soon as you reply, and you can opt out at any time by replying to the message or by contacting us at studio@ncviolinist.com. We will honor your request promptly.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as it is needed to serve you, run the business, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and in accordance with our internal retention practices. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify it. Contracts, payment records, and related business records are typically kept longer, as required by law.
How we protect your information
We take practical, meaningful steps to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit, access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, client links are signed and time-limited, and payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Your rights
We are a small North Carolina business, and we honor reasonable requests about your information regardless of where you live. You may ask us to access the information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, or delete information we no longer need to keep. Because we do not offer self-service account deletion, simply contact us at studio@ncviolinist.com and we will respond and act on your request within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may retain certain records where the law requires it. There is no charge to make a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Children's privacy
This site and our services are intended for adults booking event performances. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our business or the law evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here, and the current version always governs.
